So Much Cake!

What a beautiful cake! Bought to celebrate my son's 2nd birthday from the amazing Bill & Betty's in Cheadle

Do you ever look at something and think that looks stunning but I can’t possibly because look at the size of it? Well it’s a bit like this cake. Whilst it was only 6inch (it was to feed only the four of us) it was huge!

It was a fabulous feeling to be able to finally touch the CDs that had memories of my youth and Uni days - and music that I still listen to today. However the most exciting part of this declutter and organise session was the fact I came across some of my old tapes with stories I listened to when I was really young. The exciting bit was that my son, who’s 4, sat and listened to those stories whilst I was sorting through which CDs to keep and which to let go of. It really took me back to a time when I was a little girl, sitting and listening whilst my mum pottered about doing things.

To eat it all in one go seriously wasn’t going to happen. Our first bites didn’t even get through 1/4 of the cake.

However, slowly but surely, over a few days we got through it. Savouring the flavour and not feeling sick or full too quickly.

It’s exactly the same when tackling a large declutter job you’ve been wanting to do.

Instead of trying to do it all in one go, getting stressed and anxious and failing because you’ve lost the will to live, do it in small bits.

Just small sections of the area you’re trying to change but regularly so you can keep the momentum going. You’ll soon find you’re getting through more than you thought, safe in the knowledge that it’s getting done. Pretty much like we did with this cake.

What is it you're looking at that's making you worry? Try tackling it in small sections first and see how you get on.

If you want a beautiful cake that both tastes and looks amazing and you're local to Stockport then head on over to Bill & Betty's in Cheadle. You won't be dissappointed!

(Note: I'm in no way affiliated with Bill & Betty's, these are just my personal views)
